Protect your yarn from getting dirty or tangled with our new YarnBuddies Yarn Ball Bag.  Unlike other yarn ball containers and baggies, the YarnBuddies Yarn Ball Bag allows you to add or remove the ball/skein of yarn at any time.  Swap balls of yarn if you switch projects!  Got a tangle?  Pop the ball out and work on it, without having to cut the working yarn.  As you use more of your yarn, the baggie will "collapse" and become a bit smaller.  Compare that to the hard plastic capsules that are heavy and stay the same size as your yarn ball gets smaller!  Doing intarsia?  Get two bags to keep both yarns separate and neat!

Our holder also includes a caribiner clip to attach your YarnBuddies Yarn Ball Holder to your knitting bag, your purse or your belt/belt loop.  IMPORTANT NOTE: This caribiner, while cute, is NOT intended for mountain climbing and will not support your weight.  It's only intended to support a big ball of yarn!

Walk and knit with ease...no metal thing pressing into your wrist from the weight of the yarn ball...no bag hanging off your wrist.  Just clip the YarnBuddies YarnBall bag to your clothes or knitting bag and you're off.  No belt loop?  We've clipped it to our waistband.  The "gate" on the caribiner won't close, but it does stay on our waistband without a problem (please test for yourself on your clothes before walking near a puddle or anywhere else where your yarn could be in danger).

The YarnBuddies Yarn Ball Bag works best with center pull skeins.  The yarn will dispense with ease when the ball is a center pull skein.  If you're getting the yarn from the outside of the ball, you will need to be sure that the yarn ball is smaller than the bag so that there is enough "room" for the yarn to move. 

Love "tall" skeins like Red Heart yarn from Michaels?  You can use this yarn (or any yarn) in our bags if you rewind it into a center pull skein using a ball winder (or if you wind the ball by hand...)   Some folks smoosh the tall skein into our Large bag with great success (it fits great once you've used some of the middle yarn)!

One more note - you'll see lots of tiny little bags out there for "portable" knitting.  Our bag is NOT intended to hold your tools, needles etc.  Our bag is just large enough for your yarn ball.  We believe that your yarn is precious and deserves to be protected from damage from pens, pokes, and damage from your other knitting gear.

Small YarnBuddies Yarn Ball Bag - holds a center pull skein approx 3.5" diameter by 3.5" high, we use this size for Elsebeth Lasvold's Cotton Patine, Queensland Collection Cotolino.

Medium YarnBuddies Yarn Ball Bag- approx 4.5" diameter by 4.5" high, we use this size for most of our yarns!  A skein of Lambs Pride Worsted, wound into a ball, will fit perfectly inside.

Large YarnBuddies Yarn Ball Bag - holds a center pull skein approx 5.5" diameter by 5.5" high, we use this one for the bulkiest of yarns, like our Classic Elite Tigress (200 yds of 3.5st per in wool).  If you do not use center pull skeins, consider the large size so that there's enough room for the ball to "move" as the yarn unwinds from the ball.
